Why You Need to Experience Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre
RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE
If you’re a Coloradoan, chances are you’ve been to a Red Rocks show. And if you haven’t, what’s stopping you?!
Red Rocks is one of the premiere concert venues in the world, and not just for its views. The acoustics of this place are magical for music lovers and performers alike. Recently, Vance Joy even shared with me backstage that Red Rocks is “the best venue in the whole world!” Although it’s in my backyard, I have to agree.
If you’re curious about the history of Red Rocks, I highly encourage you to read more about this geological masterpiece here and consider visiting outside of concert hours. They have a grill and gift shop where you can find out more about this iconic place and even see a list of every band who has ever played the stage in the Colorado Music Hall of Fame (the Beatles show is always a fave find).
If concerts aren’t your thing (then I’m not sure how you found me? they’re half my life but... ) Red Rocks also hosts movies and yoga at the venue. These are special treats (I’ve done both!) so keep an eye out for them.
And finally, if you’re a music lover, keep up with Red Rocks’ schedule here and buy your tickets while the season lasts! It’s one of my favorite places to be in Colorado and people travel from all over the country to see shows here.
You can check out some of my Red Rocks concert photos at this link and find more of my experiences from the rocks on my Instagram. Make sure to tell me about your favorite times on the rocks by commenting on my pics!
If you watch my Insta stories, you’ve likely seen @joovsocial’s red light therapy is a part of my morning routine (I have the Mini 3.0). You’ve also probably noticed that I read for an hour every night in red light (LED red lightbulbs here). @olivihuh and I chatted about morning and night routines on the latest Kombuchat episode, and I even have a whole light vibes highlight dedicated to my mood lighting obsession… but anyway! Today I’m sharing the benefits of red light therapy with you:
When I was little, I wanted to be a radio dj the worst way- I used this cassette recorder to sample my favorite radio songs & mix and match vibes like I was running a show. 😂 I also called in to stations all the time requesting tunes (um am I aging myself here? ...maybe? definitely. but um yeah that was a major slumber party move & I’m owning it.)…
I remember the high that I used to get walking into this venue & so many others before a show. ✨ I used to show up quite early as a concert photographer- I loved meeting with everyone who worked the venues, making small talk, watching the opener & crew setup, taking some test shots, photographing early crowd members. And the rush was even higher when…

As mentioned on my stories this week on on the ‘gram, @olivihuh & I are launching our bb project @kombuchatpod soon! 🎙We’re so excited!!
So many of you have reached out this past year about being at a crossroads.
Maybe you lost your job, maybe it disappeared overnight like so many of us in the event world, or maybe you started working from home & realizing - this gig isn’t for me. Whatever it might be, there is no greater time than now to reinvent yourself. Seriously! You have more tools at your fingertips than any human in history…
Sunday Routine: Slow morning (this is key), take my time making breakfast, work on a few of my own project goals (nothing busy or task-driven, more like big picture), yoga in the afternoon, breathwork whenever I want to reset, some good self-care stuff (face mask, body scrub, etc.)…
I’ve had so many of you reach out about how to find a side hustle so that you can start a #smallbusiness or #freelance your skillset and eventually quit your day job and set your own rules, both of which I started doing a couple of years ago and now make a full time income from! But how do you get started? How do you figure out what you might like to do? Here are 3 tips to start discovering direction:
2020 made me rethink everything I was doing: work, travel, my time and where I choose to spend it, everything; all of it. This whole life thing got shaken up this year but we made it bb! And life feels beautiful today! 2020 taught me not to take anything for granted & it’s made me stronger. I re-prioritized for the better & I’m ready to hit 2021 #ontherun…
